Advice is a form of investment

Advice is something you tell others hoping that in the future they will tell it back to you. The advice you give, in my experience is something that you would have told your self if you were in the same situations. But of course, when you get into that situation, that particular bit of advice doesn't make so much sense to you anymore. That's why you would need someone else to tell it back to you. Advice then, is some sort of investment into your future security. Just hope that the person you gave your advice to is still around to give it back to you.

  • Hey it's reassuring to know that advice is never wasted, at worst, it can only come back to haunt you!I think that maybe the reason they ask you (when they remember the advice they gave you), is that secretly they want you to give them contradictory advice - that they would rather follow. Suggest something bold, daring and a little dumb, they will jump at it! Thats my 2 cents anyway. (K)
